Am I taking crazy pills? I removed all my patches before installing 1.3.1. Everything is great no problems, except for this. I removed the blink for notification patch before the update. I notice that this feature is not in 1.3.1 and the patch is no longer availabe as well, but my phone still blinks when I get a notification. Preware does even show I have this installed. I am not complaining, just a little confused on how this can be.

What is the 'prelease' service you have installed?

No clue. Could this stuff have been logged during the 1.3.1 update, which I allowed to run this morning?

Later: well, the issue/bug/whatever is moot. Broke down and doctored my phone, and Preware works fine upon installation.

The patch just adds the setting to enable/disable it. So if you didn't disable it before removing the patch, it's still enabled. (I did the same thing, forgot to disable it first)

I assume when this patch is availabe for 1.3.1 from preware I can just install it again and I'll have the option to turn off and on?

Correct, and it is available now via Preware.

I did not and it worked ok. I did remove patches and themes though

Can someone help me with something? I too was having the same problem getting my themes after the update. But that has already been addressed thanks a bunch. My question is where and how do I run the emergency patch recovery everyone keep talking about? I had to uninstall everything one at a time and that was a pain! Thanks for all the great info

Before an update: First, uninstall themes. Then go to EPR (Preware > List of Everything > type emer); tap install; reboot. It runs on reboot. Don't hit install unless you're ready for it run.

After an update: If you don't have themes, and all patches were installed using Preware, you can still use it.

Hope this helps for next time.

i left preware installed when iI updated to 1.3.1, (removed themes, patches, tweaks), preware loads fine, but i go to update it from 9.7 to 9.8 and the update button does not respond. should i reinstall preware with wosqi or just wait. If I nstall patches with preware 9.7 will it detect compatibility with 1.3.1 webos?

For me, the preware 0.9.8 is rather slow in 1.3.1. It takes seconds to recoganize my touches and then takes seconds to respond.
Anyone else has this issue? Thanks.

for me is faster than 1.2.1 !!

it might be a little slower but considering everyone has to reload their patches after upgrade, preware will be slow/down at some point today

Also stuck at loading package information, on the Precentral bit. Trying to disable.

update: Unsurprisingly, disabling precentral feed lets me past... but now I get stuck on prethemer. Disabling that lets me get the rest of the way.

Hmmm it's running noticeably faster for me.

I'm not sure about a speed difference for anything so far. I do notice that things are smooth and quick as they always were - however I did have the cache patch and another patch which helped with speed.
