Works perfectly on a Veer with 2.2.4. Will try on a Pre2 this evening.
![]() Thanks for this great tweak. Accelerometer is the most useless feature of Smartphones and forbids things like reading while in bed and so... My wife is very confused by this and often just holds her phone upside down. I hope that helps a bit. ![]() Will you release that in precentral feeds or something like that? |

It should be possible to patchify it by inserting the js into the always-running phone app and adding it to tweaks or preferably the device menu. Or even by writing a node.is service and implementing it similarly.

Hmm, given a binary is involved, a direct patch wouldn't work for the top-bar (or at least would require a few workarounds). If xwteam could switch to using the binary via a Node.js service, then it'd be extremely helpful and would may any sort of patch trigger extremely easy.
Looks like it's an unjailed hybrid app with a plugin binary that toggles the feature.

It would be great to somehow include that in advanced device menu patches and make it remember the state after a reboot.
![]() BTW: It also worked on my wife's Pre2 with 2.2.4 installed. How do you disable the accelerometer? Just curious...
