Lithium BenchMark provides a full set of tools to evaluate a webOS device speed.

Lithium BenchMark is in beta state, you can download it here : http://developer.palm.com/appredirec...thiumbenchmark

I need beta testers to gather informations on all webOS devices (Pixi, Pre minus, Veer, Pre 3, ...), running different webOS version, different CPU Frequency, in order to create a benchmark database.

Please submit your data like this :

Device name : Palm Pre 2
    WebOS Version : 2.1
    CPU frequency : default
    Score : 190

To get an accurate value, you can run this test several times.

    Thanks !

in touchpad mojo apps are running in emulation mode, that's why it's hard to compare the TouchPad value with others.

I'll create an enyo version to get an accurate and logical value for touchpad

Touchpad support please! I really want to compare the different settings and how they effect my bench scores.

EDIT : It works in Touchpad just in that small phone app type mode though. Thanks for the app!

You might want to include some kind of submit score button feature it would make it much easier and faster to get a comparison database.

i'm working on a TP version. Please update yohr mojo app, you'll be able to submit score within the app and share your perforlance index on twitter » Lithium BenchMark MOJO & ENYO Version ScienceApps | HP webOS

Downloaded and ran the benches my scores have been preety much the same BUT if i restart and run lithium right after my score ranges from 95-99(ie better) .

I have a question though is the testing method optimized for dual core processors ie is it running threads on both cores? I ask because on running the bench multiple time i checked on the govner cpu2 log and it hadnt budged at all after the first shoot up on booting. I initially thought maybe govner isnt reading cpu2 properly (seems to be happening commonly ) so i ran multiple windows with flash and sure enough cpu2 shot to 1.7ghz so the govner readings seem to be correct. not sure whats exactly whats going on , hopefully you can clarify.

BTW the app redesign looks nice i like the HD look ,very neat and spiffy.

I think official apps only runs on one core... But with the sdk a dev can't choose dual cpu processing

3.04 feels <considerably> faster, so had to see if it was merely perception. IT'S NOT!!!
clockspeed is clearly not everything when it comes to performance. The results show it, too!

Device name : 32 GB Touchpad
WebOS Version : 3.0.4 stock kernel
    CPU frequency : 1.188
    ondemand
    Score: 116, 119, 112
    Performance
    Score: 110, 110, 111

In comparing the results to the 3.02 kernel, 3.04 running at 1.188 GHz comes in between the 1.5 (120) and the 1.728 GHz (110) kernels using ondemand.

And 3.04 with Performance is in a dead heat with 1.728 GHz using ondemand.

    EDIT: Rejoined Alpha testing

Improvement suggestion: block screen timeout during test. Tap ripple may impact result.
