This app brings the bookmarks of you Opera desktop browser right to you webos device. It uses the Opera link functionality to synchronize all your bookmarks between desktop and phone. It currently allows viewing and launching bookmarks, but has no editing features.
I am searching for some Opera browser users to test this app before submitting it to the app catalog. Please send me a PM if you are interested in testing out this app and sending me feedback. How to use the App. 1. Start Opera Browser on your PC and click on the cloud icon in the lower left corner. 2. Click on "Enable Synchronization" 3. If you do not have an Opera Link Account, create one. Otherwise enter your login data. 4. Activate Synchronization of Bookmarks and wait a minute. 5. Start the App on your phone and enter the same login data. 6. Download the bookmarks 7. Give the App a five star rating in the App catalog if you like it or contact me if you have any problems. Change log Version 1.2.0: new Features: - Just Type Search for webOS >2.0, enable it in Just Type Preferences (type something and scroll down to the end to find preferences) - Search trough all bookmarks within the app - Sort your folders - App is now compatible with Touchpad and Pre3 1.1.0 Feature and Bugfix Release (submitted 15 July 2011) Bugfixes: - large Download fails - Device slow/ hung up during Download - long foldernames linebreak new Features: - launch bookmarks in 3rd party browser (Universe or Complete Browser) - quick launch through dashboard 1.0.0 first app catalog release 0.4.0 first beta This application is not open source, it will be free for beta testers. Your help is really much appreciated. Last edited by StephanP; 09/06/2011 at 06:14 AM. Reason: howto added |

I would like to help beta test. I just started using Opera at home on my PC and really like it.

I am going to LOVE this app.
It would be double awesome if you have the bookmark viewer in the catalog, but then also make a patch that will copy your Opera bookmarks to the native browser. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums

@rsanchez1 I thought about this but did't check out the possibilities yet. The biggest Problem is that the native browser does not support folders. Maybe I can work something out to synchronize speed dial with the native browser's favorites.
@laingman Currently it uses the default browser. I'm currently checking out the possibilities to use universe as the target browser but it depends mostly on the universe browser. |

Universe supports folders, but for the native browser you can just copy all the bookmarks.

Thanks for this app. Opera is hands down the best browser, and now I can sync my bookmarks between my PC, laptop and my phone. Awesome.

@jbadilla, sorry i can't do that. Can't you activate your device in an supported country? The App is globally available.
@laingman, Opera Link offers some other options like notes and history. But in my opinion they are far less used and it is not feasible implementing them at the moment. |

The 1.2.0 is no available through the catalog.
Remember that you have to activate the Just Type functions manually in the Just Type preferences if you want to use it. |
