I think here of an OpenVPN instance, since I need it for some of the E-Mail servers I connect to. Then I could do it in one tap.

Alternatively is there an option to use the VPN Connections within the Pre (Cisco, etc.)? Just in case that some Homebrew developer ever picks up the task of doing an OpenVPN integration. :-)

    Thanks

    Hello boucles0,
it is OpenVPN, there is a thread here in the forum: http://forums.precentral.net/web-os-...e-openvpn.html
Right now it is only possible to run it via command line, but I hope someone will do an integration at some point.

Hence my question, if it is possible to start command line apps from your Application launcher.

    Thanks for looking into this
    Chris

I reboot my phone each night. I've had problems with apps not doing their thing cause of it. Will this app still work on its own after a reboot or do I have to reload it each day. I'd like to purchase it but this is a deal killer for me for this kind of app.

the sdk reference says alarms are preserved after reboots. But, it sometimes makes the alarm start 10 minutes after the set time especially when the battery is low

OpenVPN is sorted into Optware in Preware. You can also find it via the search on the startpage.

err yes, that was the core of my question. :-)
You need to start it via a command line tool, e.g. terminus. So that is very uncomfortable to open up the command line, type in the start command to run it.
That is why I asked if your app can do that with the press of a button. Like configuring the command that then will be executed.

    Greetings
    Chris

boucles0, you still going to add a cookie for me so that when I turn off the alarm, I can turn it back on again without having to completely re-set it up all over? Thanks.
