yes some phones do not like dropping below 500 , i tried to set mine to 250 - 800 for a long time but it inevitably ended with a frozen phone and a battery pull -- most of the time when the phone had sat for awhile and then i recieved a text messge or a call -- i have since set it to 500 - 800 and this has stopped completely
