    Hi TreoRock,

Not for a while unfortunately. Everything in 2.0 is a complete re-write.

Whilst in the long run it should be easier and wont require patching WebOS it will take some time.

Palm are slowly releasing the bits I need but im waiting on more before I can do anything.

    Hi guys,

Just thinking in terms of WebOS 2.0 what are the plugins you use the most?

If I can get an idea of that I will try to get those plugins done first.

Also if there are ones people don't use (such as IRC) I will remove those

I just switched my pre to us-english, but this seems not to be the problem. I noticed that the plugin doesn't even log in to live and facebook. the accounts just stay offline. when i try to manually connect them, they ask for the password and then stay offline...try again, the ask for password again, but without effect.

MSN. The only reason why I installed this.

Although for some reason after the last few switches, my GTalk account doesn't work out of the box until I install the patches.

Hi Greg. Still using Sametime, GMail and Facebook (thru Jabber) plugins of 2.5.0 and Pidgin to manage my Sametime buddy list. Nice to see you are still working on this enhancement to WebOS.

Would love to see Sametime plugin for WebOS 2.0 when it becomes available for download to my Pre and there to run on the next device we expect next year.

MSN Definitly, Jabber (for the random servers out there) ICQ (as there still are those who use it)

    Ones not needed
Facebook: will work via the facebook app (and I believe it will be synergetically added to messaging though I maybe wrong)
IRC: Rarely used and can be achieved via wIRC

I'm having trouble signing into my ICQ account. I put in my number and passqord but it says username of password invalid. Any idea why?

Wouldn't call it a limitation, more like a feature.

If you link all of the contacts, you can easily switch between messaging methods. I have my friend's MSN, Google Talk and SMS all combined into one profile and it's really useful.

    Hey Greg,
I try to install this amazing plugins in my Palm Pre Plus.
I did follow up your instruction to install, but systems

Step1:OK, I download file(org.webosinternals.patch_2.5.9-4_armv7.ipk) from the website you offered
GNU Patch (Install from Preware or Index of /feeds/webos-internals/ in either armv7 (Pre), armv6 (Pixi) or i686 (Emulator) called org.webosinternals.patch_2.5.9.X_*.ipk )

Step2:OK, but I only can find "org.webosinternals.messagingsysfiles_2.0.3_armv7.ipk" from your file package, rather "org.webosinternals.messagingsysfiles_2.5.2_*.ipk"

Step3:Failed, WQI popup an error message: ERROR AN error occured while attempting to run /tmp/ipkgScript.sh
    org.webosinternals.messagingsysfiles_2.5.2_*.ipk - System Files
    org.webosinternals.messagingpatch_2.5.2_*.ipk - Main Patch

    Step4: Pause
org.webosinternals.messagingallplugins_2.5.2_*.ipk (Or Individual Plugin) - All Plugins or Individual Patches

    Do I missing anything?
    Please help, thanks.

    Hi qmo,

Are you able to do the following for me?

Post a screen shot of the error
    AND
Post a copy of the contents of /media/internal/webos-patches.log

    Thanks,
    Greg

For some people it's annoying to be linking all the contacts to their corresponding msn accounts. I don't mind to do it, besides, with 2.0 we'll get the ability to backup the linked contacts info
