Sound customization is coming this weekend.

I've had a few requests for the latitude and longitude input. Should be fairly simple. I'll look into adding it.

Note that you can use an address in the Google search, if that helps at all.

The ability to click a spot on Google maps is the #1 requested issue. As soon as I get this thing released with version 1.0, it will become my top priority to integrate.

Just installed and Ill test drive trough the weekend, but I see one thing already: please add Kilometers / meters as measuring unit

Hey guys. I promised an update this weekend. Version 0.9.9 is now live. Features include:

-Rewrote storage system. Should solve most issues with tasks not saving correctly.
-Preferences (available under the top menu on the main screen). Allows you to set your choice of measurement units between miles or kilometers. Also allows you to set a default zip code for using to search for tasks.
-Add a task location via contacts. Use an address from one of your contacts to set a location alert.
-Various bug fixes.

I had mentioned having the ability to choose a custom sound available in this version. I didn't have time to get all the kinks worked out of it, so that will be in the next update. The next update will be Release Candidate 1.

Also, I have lowered the required OS restriction to 1.2.1. I hope that fixes the installation issues. Let me know.

still not possible to install on my german pre :-((
I had run all preware-related-emergency-tools after upgrading to 1.3.5.2, all other apps install (and/or update) without a problem, but i can't install geotasks from within preware. it always leads me to the app-catalog(!!) saying that this app is not available in my country.

Sorry about that. Try it again in a bit. I just opened up Germany on the listing...

sorry - no go. geotasks is on top of the list in the preware-feed, but if i tap "install" it goes to app-catalog and shows the not-available-page.
will try another time again or install via webos-quickinstall.
i'm too tired now ...

today i tried again to install geotasks.
this is what i did
- i started preware, tapped "feeds" and "precentral" to show only apps in precentral-feed
- i found geotaks at the first position (see pic 01preware...)
- tapped on the entry
- a preware-info-screen appears (pic02preware...)
- i tapped on "install"
- a geotasks-info-screen in app-catalog green opened (pic03findapps...)
- i tapped "install"
- it asked me to allow to install ("dieses programm verwendet standortbasierte daten" -> location-finder, gps) (pic04findapps...)
- it shows: "downloading" (pic05findapps...)
- it shows "installing"
- pre shows a notification "geotasks is installed" (pic06findapps...)
- and it still shows "installing" at the bottom (pic07findapps.../pic08...)
- 15 minutes later it still shows "installing" (pic09findapps...)
- opening launcher, i find "geotasks" in launcher(pic10findapps...)
- if i tap on the icon it shows app-catalog-"list of my application" (pic11findapps... which shows another time, that pic was from my second attempt to install geotasks)
- deleted
- restarted
- tried it again
- same results
- will stop hoping to use geotasks
btw: i think one of the real problems is that geotasks is in palm-beta-feed and precentral-feed with the same name (id)

I edit the feed to only show from precentral's feed. Delete it again and see what happens. If that doesnt work, let me know as I have one more thing I can try.

i tried again...
geotasks still show to be on palm-beta and on precentral-feed.
downloading and "installation" follows the same path as yesterday, no chance to get into the app (i had feeds reloaded, new starts of preware, but still no go)

Mine is working now. I still wish the labels for search, recent, etc. were larger or identifiable icons, but the problems I was having with search from my current location went away after a reset.

Good to hear it's working. I agree the icons are too small. I haven't decided what to do with them yet... Palm restricts them to 24 pixels wide. Thanks for the input.

Icons like a magnifying glass or binoculars for search, current could be a push pin, recent could be a scroll, and contacts a person. It would be interesting to know if others here would agree or would suggest other icons/representations.

somebody over at the preader-thread reported nearly the same issue with preader as i have with geotasks.
- installing doesn't complete
- a vodoo-icon appears in the launcher which leads to the crap-beta-app-catalog

I'm going to just remove it from Palm, and add it to Precentral's repository. The change will probably take a few hours, so if you are having trouble, please try installing it again later and let me know what happens...
