almost certainly a firewall issue - possibly at your router.

    my guess is something like
computer A with itunes on it is connected by wifi
computer b with the itunes helper is connected by ethernet
your router doesn't allow traffic from ethernet to wifi

unfortunately there are a myriad variations - so the best bet is just to try turning off anything that looks like a firewall until things work - then turn things on and tweak settings as needed until things are safe and work.

    happy hunting...

I'm getting the same problem. All green ticks, Pre status states that it is "not connected to helper. Also, on the "Auto Connect with Phone tab" in the Helper it reads:

    2) Click on the 'Start pairing' button below.

    There's no button below, however.

ok - for the bad instructions issue, download 1.66 (just uploaded) which fixes that.

for the 'not connected' issue - please check the detailed log (you can turn that on in preferences if you have version 0.2.0 or higher installed).

I'm guessing you'll see something like:

    pair called
    pair response got
    Pairing succeeded
    Pairing succeeded
    login called
    loginResponseGot
got response to login request - should be logged in...
    unable to parse session response
    login called

I'm going to whip up a new version now which should shed some light on the issue...

ok - I uploaded 0.2.2 to the preware repository (Remote Free)
it has more logging that will hopefully pin down why the login isn't happening

    please download, install then

    1) open preferences and turn on detailed logging
    2) try to autopair
    3) view the log and post the details

    also - please confirm
    a) what operating system you are using
    b) what iTunes version

    thanks

Now Helper isn't showing up in Itunes under devices. I bought the full version should I still download Remote Free?

velocityboy9: have you tried quitting and restarting iTunes? That should make the helper show.

if that doesn't work - can you confirm
    1) operating system
    2) version of iTunes helper
    3) version of iTunes

    update shouldn't be necessary.

one thing to try is reinstalling bonjour on your windows box. It should get intalled with iTunes - but sometimes that doesn't happen.

Nice app! I just found it.
I was wondering if the paid version lets you adjust playlist? Basically I'm looking to check or uncheck songs from a playlist so the song isnt played again.

    thanks
