@Merlin:
Do you have the "gps toggle switch" or "gps in device menu" patches? I had that patch and turned the gps off then removed the patch for another reason and was unable to re-enable the gps even in location services it said it wsa on and I was still getting errors like yours. I reinstalled the gps in device menu patch and it was off...flicked it on and all was good :-D |

OMG! With this update this app is near perfect! Quick question though, when I tried to add a cache I got a message about need to be a premium member (member is mispelled on the pop-up "memeber") I have never seen a cache that was premium member only. Is this a bug? I will check the website for the same cache to see what is different and report back.

Looks good - haven't had a chance to test it out in the field yet. Really needs to load up .GPX files, as it's always nice to have your caches you want to find offline. Google Maps integration is a must as well!
There was also some talk a while back about doing firmware mods to the GPS unit to enable all sorts of nifty stuff and make the GPS less Sprint-Centric. Currently, if the phone isn't in cell range of anywhere, the GPS is pretty useless. It would be nice to have the option integrated with the software - yeah, I know it's a dangerous mod, but if it's done programmically, it would reduce the risk of phone bricking. Personally, for me, online logging isn't that much of an issue - either I can do it from the web browser, or do it at home like I usually do so I can integrate my finds with my GSAK database. So far, it looks fantastic!!! |

Very nice update and quickly added! Can't wait to test it in the field. If the features work as advertised then this will replace my Go To app that I just bought for $8! Hope to see it in the app store soon. I will definitely buy it once it's ready for prime time. Keep up the great work!

GACK too late. taurec thanks for helping move this forward. Suggestions: 1) Being able to send the coordinate data directly to the compass. 2) Imperial units, we US folk are horrible at basic conversions. ![]() 3) Able to input search radius from currrent location. 4) Ability to save a list of caches that can be loaded. (multiple lists would be nicer )5) Needs a distance to target (maybe Im missing it). 6) Input fields that are numeric in value (coordinate fields) default to numbers when inputting instead of displaying the letters. Holding SHIFT is a pain. So far so good. Last edited by ocard; 12/02/2009 at 12:25 PM. |
