Another app that makes one wonder how we've ever lived without it!

    They want $3 for it?

That's cool (no pun intended) - but just a suggestion....while you have the right to charge whatever you like, you may want to be a bit more realistic with how useful the app is and charge accordingly. While I see your app as more of a novelty item, I seriously doubt that people will be beating down your door with credit card in hand to fork over $3 for this.

I wouldn't use it if it was free, but don't be discouraged by that, maybe if you are just starting out developing apps for WebOS, release a few free ones to get people familiar with your work and then concentrate on creating something a lot of people would find useful, and then charge for it.

    Just a suggestion....

See my edited post above yours. I just think $3 is a bit much for it.

You think I should charge it $0.99 ?

I plan to make a lot of updates with this app, that's why I wanted to charge $3

You may get more people to try it for that.

My apologies for my earlier posts, I should be encouraging developers, not making fun of them. I'll look forward to your future apps.

Perhaps you should work about economics.

Looks like you've sold 2 copies so far... based on the download count patch.

    $3 x 2 = $6

While I'm certainly no fortune teller, it doesn't take one to predict that at $0.99, you'd have sold more than 6 copies thus far, making net income higher.

Remember, it's not about revenue per unit. It's about total revenue.

I don't believe anyone is making fun of your app. I think if people are making fun of anything it would be the price you are charging for an app that really doesn't do anything for a majority of people...in the world.

It's fine making apps that are more of a novelty than say, a call blocking app that a large majority of people might actually use. But making a novelty app and than charging what I would consider to much for it just makes people want to laugh. $.99 would be a little more on target but you have to consider that there are many very useful apps (Pandora as an example) that are free and offer a ton more value.

How do you know that ? what is "download count patch."

Because, I don't know how to see how many apps have been sold.

dragbug...are you a developer? I'm just curious because I see a "donate" link in your signature but I don't see any links to apps.

It's a patch that restores the ability to see the number of downloads of apps in the App Catalog.

And how do you install it ? Can you give me a link for that ?

Do you have Preware? I think it's available via Preware or WebOS Quick Install.

    There are 2 methods:
    WebOS Quick Install: http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pr...es-themes.html
    Preware: Application:Preware - WebOS Internals

I don't know what OS you're running. You should ensure that the patch is compatible with whatever OS you're using.
