"Picasa On Phone" app lets you access all public Google's Picasa web albums. With easy to use interface, you can flip, pan, and zoom the photos natively on the phone. You can watch photos in landscape or portrait and quickly scroll through the photos using the "photo index" and jump to anywhere in the album, all staying on the same screen. The app will not use any of the on-phone storage to store photos.

Is this available? Is it almost available? Is it going to be in the homebrew catalog or are you going to release it to the official App Catalog? Details are necessary here, I think.

I've been yearning to see a Picasa app for the Pre; however, I was hoping that it would allow me to link to my Google account and view my private photos on my phone. Viewing public photos isn't something I would be interested in.

Question I have from the description of this app in the Homebrew Catalog.
What's the point of being able to zoom into the photo if it's only downloaded at 400px? My major frustration with picasa on the web is that Google will only let me see the mobile version of the pages which are all worthless low res photos. I want to be able to access the higher resolution version of the images which are quite easy to manipulate with the multi-touch interface of the PRe. ian |
