Ok, I've been running the 2.0.4 since this morning. I'm experiencing a new problem with Yahoo. After a while my I notice my online Yahoo contacts disappear but the messaging app status shows I'm online . When this happens I'm in fact offline in Yahoo. The only way I can get logged back into Yahoo is sign out of every service, close the messaging app, then re-open the messaging app and sign into my accounts again. Sometimes it takes several attempts to get back into Yahoo. I'm running AIM and GTalk at the same time.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi NuttyBunny,

You need to install the SDK version of the packages. E.G the ones the say i686 not armv7.

Also once you install sysfiles on the emulator after luna restarts reboot the emulator and then continue from there.

The phone slows down and I get the "too many cards" message although messaging is th only card open. At that point the phone is frozen and I have to remove the battery to reset it. I've tried removing and re adding the account and turning avatars and tls off, none of which has made any difference in the behavior. Looks like the plugin is just about there though!
    Hi Skribbles505,

Hmmmm so close! Looks like I need to add Aliasing to Groupwise too.

Any chance you can run DebugMP.sh and P.M me an output of when someone sends you a meessage.

If you could include for me their login, display name. What it appears like on your Pre and what it should display as. Hopefully its just the Aliasing that needs to be turned on to work!

    Thanks,
    Greg

Thanks for the hard work, Greg. Awesome patch!
Hmmm should be on the accout settings page. Just had a bad thought do your have a GSM phone and/or use a language other than english?

If you don't use english set your phone to english then try it. If it comes up set up the account then put your language back.

I will need to fix that up

Too bad I can't use a No TLS setting with my company's server

Either Palm changed gnutls to a buggy version or my company changed something on their servers...

It used to work on 1.2.5

    *sigh*

Hmmm might be worth trying no TLS anyway. I think I fixed the code as before TLS was always off or on (cant remember)

I've already tried TLS on and off, but nothing. If I turn it on it tries to connect for a while and sends an error. If I turn it off it gets disconnected almost immediately. I guess your check is indeed working

    Hi all,

If you redownload the zip files for Pre and Pixi in there is a facebook 2.0.1.

First remove the 2.0.0 version and install the new one.

    Login should now work

    Thanks,

    Hi bluediablito,

Not sure about the patch if it works but the Alias in MSN is their display name. So instead of showing their email address it shows the name they have set in Messenger.

    Thanks,
    Greg

oh ok thanks..................even if its off it still shows the people current display name on the messenger instead of there email........

I've already tried installing the patch after a completely clean doctored WebOS.

    I've also tried to replace messaging-constants.jsjsjs $and$ $messaging$-$luna$-$service$.$js$ $into$ /$usr$/$palm$/$applications$/$com$.$palm$.$app$.$messaging$/$app$/$models$/ $from$ $WebOSDoctor$. $But$ $after$ $the$ $file$ $transfer$ $is$ $complete$ $I$ $get$ $the$ $mounting$ $error$ $again$.

    Any ideas?

try and go into device management and remove the patch sometimes it says its installed but its not.. and make sure you apply the gnu patch. Did you install the sysfiles first? also your mounting error might be related to the fact that the app catalog is downloading apps in the background... if that is the case i would recommend you let them all download or pause them and then try it. I received the same mounting message but i rebooted after applying the patch and it was fine.

    I tried the following steps:

    1. Deleted "Messaging Plugins System Files" application using Device Management
    2. Restarted Pre
    3. Installed org.webosinternals.messagingsysfiles_2.0.2_armv7.ipk
    4. Restarted Pre
    5. Tried installing org.webosinternals.messagingpatch_2.0.4_armv7.ipk and got this error:

ERROR: An error occured while attempting to run /tmp/ipkgScript.sh

    ApplicationPath=/usr/lib/luna/applications:/var/luna/applications:/var/usr/lib/luna/applications:/usr/palm/applications:/var/usr/palm/applications:/media/crypofs/apps/usr/palm/applications

Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Skipping patch.
1 out of 1 hunk ignored -- see webos-patches.log for more details.
    Any other suggestions?

    Same here.
after a full reset, it worked, but after a while, the problem was back, grey and messages not able to be sent again.
The problem happens to MSN only, gtalk is fine.
