This is the first I'm hearing of Sprint specifically. I thought it was everyone. Do you know something I don't?

Ahh, I was beginning to wonder if this app (and Ampachpre) was dead. More or less on hiatus, then, until HPalm gets their act together and/or ships new devices?

What about the free Pre 2 for developers program?

I've inquired about a free Pre 2, haven't heard anything yet. I would think I would have a good chance since they featured the App on the same blog they announced the free Pre 2s.

    Bryce,
I've used this app for a long time and I love it. However, I recently get this message now when I try to login.
"Error Invalid Handshake - Login Failed, timestamp too old"
    Any suggestions?
    Thank You in Advance

I enter "http://ex.tern.al.ip/ampache/" as the URL, should be right since I have a static IP

Hmm, I think this is a port forwarding issue. Or Xampp is being a pain..

Can anyone help me? Every time I point to my external IP address, I am prompted with my router login. This is because I need to forward ports, correct?

What TCP and UDP ports do I open?

either turn off remote administration or use a different port.

Whatever you chose to have your web server run on. Chances are very good that your ISP blocks traffic on the standard web server port (TCP 80) though, so I hope you chose something else.

I've tried 8080 and a few others.. No dice. I'm always prompted by my router login.

What other info is needed for you all to help me?

You should login to the router and check which internal IP address port 80 is being forwarded to. If needed, change it to the internal IP address of the computer running your ampache server installation.

I assume you do have ampache set up and working from within your internal local area network?

Yep, if I use my internal IP, I can use the server as intended.

I am not sure my router lists all ports in use... Trendnet TEW-672GR

Do you have Verizon for an ISP as well? If so, they block incoming TCP port 80, and several ofther common server ports (I have FiOS). You cannot use Port 80 for your ampache/webserver port if you intend to get to it from the outside. You'll have to choose a different port.

    No, Time Warner Cable.

    I've tried other ports, like:
    Code:
    http://ex.ter.nal.ip:8080/ampache
but like I said, they either prompt to the router login, or I get no connection errors

Yea, it was a port forwarding issue... and of course another issue comes up!

Now that I can access my server from anywhere, I can't play anything. I can still play music locally, but I get this error when trying from outside my network:

All of my music is in mp3 format, so transcoding shouldn't be an issue.
