You can set whatever folder you want for your ringtones in settings.

There are many ways to install preload other than the one jar window installer.

If you install the package manager service from webos quick install you can bypass the app limit and install themes, etc..

Finally - patches have been disabled for install in the latest release of PreLoad until we're sure they will install and remove correctly.

You must have your brightness turned up high. I'd check where you have that set at.

Yes, you can install themes as long as you have the package manager installed.

I understand this but what I was asking is if it is possible to be able to access the Official Palm-created App Catalog via PreLoad or PreWare in order to bypass the restriction. I'm fully aware that one can install Homebrew apps this way. Using the App Catalog, one is told there isn't enough space when attempting to install a Palm-approved app. Preload and Preware do not encounter this restriction when installing the homebrew apps.

    Gotcha - in short, no.
You could check your usb mode and see if the ipk is still there from what you tried to install from the app catalog and install it that way, which I do NOT recommend because it's not legal to do.

Only way is to delete apps right now.
I just download apps as I need them, so I never hit that limit.

Or, easier, just make it so you can change the background color of PreLoad in the "Settings?"

If you have package manager installed and are over the app limit, you can update using the rooted installation.

If not, you can use the regular method.

It's just a choice in how to install the app, it's still the same app.

We have two methods you can use to install apps - root uses the package manager service and non-root uses the palm installation method.

Many other items on PreLoad require the package manager service to install them, but you can easily tell because the regular install button will be grayed out in those instances.

I don't really care about the blue one way or the other. Was just trying to make a suggestion to help you appease those who it bothers.

I am, however, quite embarrassed to confess that I had to use Google to figure out what GMTA meant!!

I'm assuming you did not mean any of these:

    • Georgia Motor Trucking Association
    • German Medical Technology Alliance
    • Georgia Music Teachers Association
    • Greenfield Montague Transportation Area
    • Green Mountain Transit Agency (Vermont)
    • Guam Mass Transit Authority
    • Gainesville Music Teachers Association
    • Gloucester Music Teachers Association
    • Goals-Means Task Analysis
    • Greater Madison Tennis Association (Wisconsin)
    • Greenwich Musical Theatre Academy (UK)
    • Genetically Modified Total Annihilation (game)
    • General Motors Technical Academy
    • Grand Manan Tourism Association
    • Group Mortgage Term Assurance
    • Greater Metropolitan Toronto Area
    • Graduate Merit Tuition Awards

The only thing we disabled were patches and that is being updated later today. As long as you have the package manager installed, you'll be able to install anything in PreLoad.
