Oh, and we're working on adding feeds now. We're thinking about making it a manual user thing, instead of gloabl, so you choose the repo's you want to connect to. We'll also add new repo's to the community file share so others can choose to add them.

The updater doesn't seem to like the new version, so download from pimpmypre.com/data/versions/com.palm.repomanager_1.6.5_all.ipk

We suggest deleting and reinstalling too. It seems like updating in the new version works a little better.

When are you going to add PreLoad to the HomeBrew Apps Catalog?
    Many members are wondering.

The gestures are working great with the new update. And it's nice to see that when you press next, it goes to the top of the list!!

    Do we have it?
ipkg.preware.org is designed specifically so that anyone can add it as a standard ipkg feed on any installer client.

Please do add it, and then please work with us on how to add support for postinst scripts (so that the packages that require extra commands as root, such as Terminal and AccelService, will be installable too).

I have had agreement from PreCentral that they allow any installer application to reference a standard ipkg feed that they will publish (as far as I understand it, they are just working out the final technical implementation of the standard format ipkg feed).

May be better for developers to host their own apps with a standard feed.
if they want access to many users.
Then you get the other bad case where you have to configure your installer for 100 different author feeds.

The case I have been pushing everyone is the one where everyone who does an application repository (like yourself and PreCentral and Preware) publishes an open standard ipkg feed that any other client can use.

You will get a handful of major feed repositories, and the installer authors will eventually just pre-configure the installers for those major feed repositories, and allow the user to add new or minor ones as they please.

Posted the link up top for downloading - delete and reinstall using that link. All the changes we made seems to make the updater have a problem. We've tried the OTA updates with the new software and it seems smoother.
Remeber, we're making this up as we go along! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Kudos to you guys for making a public pledge to support the standard ipkg feed format in your installer app.

I'll be happy to work with you guys to make things as seamless as possible for the developers and users.

We're also going to make our own ipkg feed with the apps that we produce, so people can use them in their repo applications.

We have some great ideas and, when we have a finished PreLoad product, we're going to get on them and knock them out.

We have also received an outside commercial offer to write an application, which is great, because we can use the funds to help pay for our server fees for PreLoad (if we get it). (We'll be adding 1048 sounds and 380 ringtones thanks to kingjain soon too).

We also want to say a big THANK YOU to the Pre communtiy for getting behind PreLoad and helping to make it a success! I could list a LOAD of people here - (maxima, Synergy, EnVy, kingjain, sjcea0512 - off the top of my head). We would LOVE to see more wallpapers! If everyone registered with us just posted 2 wallpapers, we'd have over 6000 for you to choose from! That's easy right?

    FWIW:

I also ran into the upgrade issue-- and tried updating manually to find that the previous version was 1.55, this is 1.6.5. 1.55 as a version identifier is parsed as newer than 1.6.5 (55 > 6) and the ipkg tool complains it won't 'downgrade' from 1.55 to 1.6.5 which makes sense. I imagine this is what is causing the issue?

just got v.1.85 and I'm still having trouble getting wallpapers into the wallpaper folder.

Put "Wallpapers" into the settings, and when I download one it says its going into

    /media/internal/Wallpapers

    but it appears in downloads

more of a bug report than a complaint, I really appreciate this app and your work.

Please remove BlockDrop from your Repository. This game is a closed beta.. You have accepted this game in your Repository but I was not submitted by the author.

Please have it removed as soon as possible as this is affecting the development of the game.

    Thank you.

    Dan
