dkotoric1 - it integrates with your contacts so you can dial out through google voice by pressing maybe 2 buttons, instead of dialing your gvoice number, entering your pin, pressing 2, and then dialing by hand the number you wanted to dial. It similarly consolidates sms'ing through gvoice, and it gives you a single place to get your call history, messages and voicemails without having to separately launch a browser and log into your account.
Pretty much all of those steps would be more time-consuming without the app.

Nice app!
It works great except I have to close it and relaunch it after sending an SMS..
Otherwise I haven't found any problems yet!

I think Im missing something. Im trying to log in. Ive entered all of my information but I dont see a login button.
The battle for the best Google Voice app is starting to heat up! I think if we could take dolphin's interface and pair it up with this it would be perfect.
So far I've tested it and it works great!!
A few suggestions (people always have suggestions don't they):
- Create a dialer to make it easy to manually dial phone numbers. Kinda like DolphinKing's dialer or the Palm Pre dialer (i.e. a real touch screen dialpad).
- After sending SMS give the ability to redirect to a screen that's not blank. Something like a confirmation to let us know message was sent.
- Use notification area to say "message sent" or "message received".
- Add :: ABOUT :: screen and include version number. As I typed this I think you might have updated your IPK but I couldn't tell what version I downloaded because I installed through filecoaster and your app doesn't say anything about it's version in the program.
Other than that, it looks great. Thank you!

What I had to do was, after my login info was there, close the app and re-launch it.
It took a couple of seconds but then logged me in and displayed the app.

Thanks I just uploaded a new version that should fix that SMS issue. The SMS does go out like everyone noticed, it just lead to a blank screen.

Yeah there was a small bug with slow web access causing an issue on the app. I believe it is fixed in the latest version as I tested on my phone with Wifi off and only 1 bar of service.

Either way...great work and thank you!
3 apps? I've only seen 2 so far. Well Open source usually wins the battle it seems.

I think he's counting gdial pro, and the original gdial as two different apps, and then dk's app as a third.
It would be nice if google would release an API to show how to interface with gvoice through the "347" number that the official apps use, to cut out the delay in dialing.

OMG!!! I'm loving the Pro version!!! The history is showing up nicely and SMS woks too. Keep up the good work. It'd b nice to see Sms history too, as well as voicemail, but the mobile site shortcut takes care of that for now.

The new version is wonderful! SMS looks great, works great, and is visually pleasing. I love how the mobile version stays within the app - no jump out to the web. Great job.

Perhaps a confirm button when initially running the app so people dont get confused. Also a button to bring up the dial pad for when you need to call a 1800 number need to see where the letters are. but i like not needing on screen pad just be nice to have a button like some of the others at the bottom to bring up a dial pad only when needed

This is very cool! I'm trying to decide if I want to start publicizing my Google Voice number as my real number and stop giving out my cell number. Haven't gotten around to taking that leap yet...
Would love to see this integrated into the phone, so the call log shows the actual number dialed (instead of the google voice number) etc. etc.
Can someone send me a GV invite? Please PM me. Thanks so MUCH!
