Working on adding news to the app.
Just added a quick SMS, you should see this if you run it now. Has the same issues as the Instant Dial, where it's a pain to enter the numbers since you can't see your contacts and it defaults to letter instead of numbers.
Should have a new version later tonight with a handful of fixes and news.

kaze0: I have to hand it to you, this update mechanism you got going on here is ingenious. Hats off to you sir. I hope more developers start using this technique (where it makes sense of course). Much better than having to reinstall the app for every incremental update.

Hold the orange blob button on the keyboard and press the shortcut. It must be done in the normal app list area. My program currently makes no attempt to allow deletions.how do i delete a short cut after its made

What about the ability to hide an app from the launcher (such as wifi that I would never open up, etc.) Would it be possible?
I think this has been the most useful homebrew app for me also...I just filled up two pages in the launcher with text and phone calls of my friends and family

Excellent job, thank you for sharing. My main ideas/suggestions would be ones you probably already have thought of: allow user to create custom icon from photos on phone or select from a list of offered icons...perhaps let the user add to that list.

The "Instant Email" shortcut creates an email that ends up having a lot of loose MIME html code that shows up as text in my friend's copy (and not in my copy). Can that be taken out or fixed?
