Default Earthquake (Shake API demo) 1.6.0 - Very Important Bugfix!

http://www.precentral.net/homebrew-a...shake-api-demo

Basically just a quick little API demo for the Shaking function since the Palm site is so wrong. It tells you how hard you're shaking it.

Also gives you your maximum shake.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to upgrade to 1.6.0. I forgot to stopListening in the deactivate/ cleanup functions. I know this is just a silly little demo most people probably deleted already, but if you have it on your device, upgrade just in case.

The source is attached here, you can get an ipk from the Homebrew App page linked at the start of this post.

It's a demo of the shake API. Shake the Pre (only on webOS 1.1) and it should update. And I'm not responsible for it slipping out of anyone's hand.

In my craps game for example, I want to add shake to roll (though shakeStart and shakeEnd don't appear to be working so I can't yet).

Or you could run the diagnostics already on the pre...

I have been waiting for someone to get this working properly. It sounds like Palm is not ready for their phones to be shaken yet.

lol I guess so.

What'd be awesome is if instead of just having the numbers or something, there was a ball or a little cube that flew around when you shook it. Just for a little fun.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but that's beyond my programming ability.

Or to add to the Paint application so you can erase it like an esch-a-sketch.

considering the build quality of the phone, would you feel real comfortable shaking yours?

and i have no real complaints about the hardware FYI
