You have to install via the SDK (Software Developer Kit).

Try using iPointsWatcher from your Pre for now until it is officially released.

FYI, I used to sell an app that had WW point calculation as one small part of it (winMo) like 5 years or so ago... WW sent me a pleasant "cease-and-desist" letter, so I promptly took it off the market (a little one-man shop at the time that couldn't fight off a large corporation).

    Just sayin'... be careful.

Maybe the difference lies in the "I used to sell an app."

You were attempting to make a profit using their name. In this case, no profit or monetary gain is being made.

Thanks! Can you develop an app that enters daily weight and graphs over time?

This is a great app. Getting rid of the "Weight Watchers" thing would make it better, and get you out of any potential trouble.

It would be great if you could develop a day tracker for points, based on a given set of parameters, adding points for exercise and such.

I would pay for such a program!

can you add a predefined list of items with their point value?

also add the ability to log it and show the remaining points for today.

    Thanks
    Avner.

Weight Watchers does not care if app is paid or free. The letter to cease and desist will come if the app is popular enough to pop up on their radar.

There was a great WW app that was used on PalmOS years ago (BobW if you're out there... hi)... it was great app and it was FREE - tracked water, dairy, vitamins, food and activity points - even allowed you to select food from LIST db. We use to BEAM it to each other in WW meetings.

Well, eventually WW found out about it. WW dropped the hammer down and the developer had to shutdown the website that he had dedicate to it (because it was so popular).

I still have a copy of it on PalmOS (Centro)... but I haven't been to WW in 2 yrs... I plan to rejoin in a few days and I may have to open it up and see if I can still use it with all the WW changes.

Hopefully, WW will come out with one for webOS like they did recently for iPhone so that when I get my webOS device (Pre or Pixi), I can use that one.

How do we use the app on the Palm Pre? I'm new to the site and don't quite understand how to get from the app link you posted to the program functioning on my phone. Thank you in advance!
