Default Depth of Field (DoF) Calculator

I made a Depth of Field Calculator which can help photographers to figure out how much of their picture will be in focus.

To use the calculator, select the type of camera you are using, the focal length of the lens, the aperture, and enter the subject distance. The program will recalculate as you change any parameters.

I attached a screen shot of the application.

TODO:
  • save selections on exit and reload on startup added in 0.9.02
  • add a button to copy the hyperfocal distance to the subject distance added in 1.0.0

Use the palm-install program from the SDK to install.

The 1.0.0 version works best with webOS 1.1

If you're still using webOS 1.0.4 then the new HyperFocal button will update the focus distance, but the value won't show up in the field until you click the field.

Also when using webOS 1.1, the focus will be returned to the distance field after tapping the hyperfocal button, so you can change the value without having to click the field.

Edit:
The 1.0.1 version has just been added to the repository.

Even though I won't be installing it, THANX. I don't know enough about my camera or use it enough to make use of it.
