They both perform the same functions... the 'other one' was put together by one individual (and I personally haven't even tried that individuals product). However, I'm not personally into 'pimping' anything and for some strange reason I trust Kaerey's app a little more... Reason: If I understand correctly his code source is posted publicly and had their been anything wrong ('evil') someone would have caught it.
I use 'My Notification,' it looks clean in my launcher and functions just as described... so I am pleased!
With that said if you've updated to 1.0.4 already then you will not be able to get this app or its update w/o 'rooting' your pre.
I'm in no way affiliated with this product nor do I have anything against the other product, I choose to use this one and have enjoyed my experience thus far.

Knew I shouldn't have updated to 1.04 last night. At least I still have your app installed.

the new version?
no just tried the new not working
So does this mean that if we got the version from yesterday, nothing much has been changed except for the addition of being able to change your wallpaper (assuming you have not rooted the device). Changing specific notification sounds only works if you've rooted the device correct?

Well when you put it that way it doesn't sound too astonishing, but it was big for me because I got to learn about scenes and the appMenu and that I still can't figure out css to make stuff look pretty.
For me big for others, maybe not so much. Sorry to disappoint.
