    Hi Everyone,

Are any of you interested in a Boston-based webOS meetup?

Ideally, I would like to cover general user topics and also some developer discussions. Saturday or Sunday would work best.

If you are interested, please reply as I would like to see if it is a possibility. Once I have a ballpark number of people interested I will start planning.

    Thanks!

Update: Initial consideration for a date will be Saturday, September 17th with a start time of either 2 or 3pm. Hopefully this date and time works for many of you.

Update 2: Everyone that is interested, please complete this form: https://www.bigtent.com/groups/webos Please spread the word! (Updated)

Update 3: We have created an official meetup group at BigTent. I have updated the previous links in this thread to represent the new group page.

I'm interested. I'm on the North Shore and I work in Waltham. Would DEFINITELY come to one in Boston.

I'm in... just let me know time and place

I would definitely be interested! Let me know when/where!

I can't say whether I'd make it, as my schedule is pretty tight. But I'll definitely watch the thread just in case. Somewhere downtown or near Kendal would probably work best for most people.

I agree, I would plan to have this in the Cambridge area unless something downtown is a better solution.

@graffix31 I would primarily like to cover several topics including:

    • General webOS applications and Devices
    • Basic Development (for Beginners)
    • Advanced Development (for Intermediate/Experienced Dev's)
    • Homebrew
    • Device conversions/Radio Swap (Sprintifying)

I'm open to other ideas if anyone has other suggestions.

i think that covers a lot of it. other than just getting together for a meet and greet with some adult beverages for us that can imbibe such things.

I would definitely be open to attending. Cambridge area works for me.

I would do my best; just took a position in southwest MI, but having grown up in the NE area I could potentially find alternative excuses to be in town

Perhaps around Thanksgiving? Everyone has vacation time around then. Just sayin'

BTW: Market the hell out of this meetup at campuses around town. Boston is known for great Comp. Sci graduates. It would go a long way towards brewing developer interest in webOS.
List: MIT, Wentworth, Northeastern, BU, UMass, Harvard, WPI. Any other comp sci degree issuers?

We could take the 'T' in and have a blast.

Since there is interest, I have begun looking at dates.

Here are two dates that work for me:

    • Saturday July 30th (Edit: fixed to correct day / thanks jimijames)
    • Saturday September 17th

I personally think the September date will work better so proper planning can be done. Plus, we may be able to get more interest since all students will be back in town as well.

September is best for me as well since I'll be back in town for school then. I'll be in Cambridge, but would definitely try to make it no matter where its held.
