Default HP on the right track not including NFC in new devices

This says that the new Iphone won't use NFC due to fragmentation of the standard

I'm not an IPhone fan, but since that is what everyone is trying to catch Perhaps HP is on track creating their tap to share technology

Really, I don't see why they never used bluetooth for what NFC is going to be used. Tap-to-share uses bluetooth. Further, I don't see why Apple sees the need to create yet another proprietary replacement to an existing standard, even if NFC is fragmented.

Pairing and power - pairing takes time and Bluetooth needs power. If you were using your phone to pay for the train, then even if the battery is flat you could still do it.
