webOS 2.0 authenticated downloads

WebOS currently has a bug where it cannot download files from password authenticated sites (precentral forums for example). It instead downloads the html error file and puts it in its place.

Is this fixed in WebOS 2.0? This is one of the most annoying things the browser does.

I think its officially ridiculous that this has never been fixed. Does this still happen on the Touchpad?
