Be aware that the webOS browser -- at least on the Pre3 -- is susceptible to the FREAK SSL/TLS vulnerability so be careful what you do with your webOS device.

    Thanks. I did a search.

Update: Serious FREAK flaw could undermine the Web's encryption | Computerworld
FREAK Vulnerability Exposes SSL/TLS Security Hole | SecurityWeek.Com

https://freakattack.com/ <- This has a testing tool and list of vulnerable sites. Two of note are lg.com & tinyurl.com

There are some links to tools that might help with a fix.

I'm under the impression that if this is fixed on the server side the browser won't really matter. I'm doubtful this will get fixed. Anyone want to try?

The browser on the TP running webOS 3.0.5 is also at risk.

I got the same impression, but I'm not sure.

On the positive side, it looks like almost all popular e-commerce sites are not vulnerable.

If the last couple of years has taught me anything, it is to just assume that everything is broken and insecure.
    Did you know:

webOS ran on a Treo 800 during initial development.

    At risk of what exactly?

If I use my Tpad to stream a TV show from watchseries or videoweed, etc, is something going to get my device? What will it do?

These warnings always scare me into thinking I can't use the device ever again, until enough time passes that I forget to care.
Sporting my 13th Pre device, a NOS unlocked ROW Pre3!

I would assume that you would have to do something involving SSL or TLS, and from the links posted above, it looks like the sites can implement the fix by demanding stronger encryption from their end.

So, as long as you haven't transmitted your banking credentials to videoweed (cause their pop-ups make them seem so legit!), I think you can keep safely and securely watching pirated video with the rest of us :P
