Many of us are mixing our webOS use with alternate devices. We visit the other Mobile Nations forums as a supplement to coming here.

Are any of you getting in any good shots on behalf of our beloved OS?

Here's a recent target I've sighted in my scope as example.

I've been playing with a Lumia 521 lately and I never use the cards as they are pretty tame/lame... Sort of an after thought. I use it more on android, but just to swipe away open apps out of the tray.

Unless you argue that the live tiles are a card metaphor, then yeah, you gotta use that.

They are getting all geeked up for the Nexus 5 over at AC. Just thought I'd widen the perspective a bit.

Good Lord. Reading that gives me an aneurysm. I forget just how civil this forum is with its geek debates by comparison to the ridiculousness going on elsewhere.

person1: Sir, I disagree, webOS is much better suited for an all touch screen phone.
person2: To me, webOS is best for a physical keyboard, "just type" as they say.
person1: Just Type is a great feature but just that. The UI as a whole requires gesturing that can not be achieved effectively with a physical keyboard.
person2: You make a good argument but I still strongly disagree
person3: this debate is getting heated
person1: He is right, we just have different opinions, sorry for my strongly worded replies.
person2: Thats, OK. I'm sorry too. Friends?
    person1: FRIENDS

The most heated I've seen it was on the ACL and mobilenations website change threads
Smartphones: Nokia 5230 > Palm Pre 2 > Nokia 701 (returned) > HP Pre 3 > BB Z10 (save me from it) + HP Touchpad
    Cars: 1993 Subaru Impreza AWD > 2007 Saab 9-3 2.0T

Oh, we had some battles on here in the heyday of webOS between die-hards and critics. It was more the exception though.

Like cockroaches, the critics survived the end of the world and a lot of the true believers just vanished - if you pop across to Crackberry, it's eerie how similar it is to here about two years ago. The recent 'launch' (pushed out into the cold to die) of the Z30 seems similar to the end of Palm Pre handware.
