This is going to sound like I should be wearing a tin foil hat, but I swear in the last two weeks both my pre 2 and Touchpad have started getting sluggish overall, even with UberKernel installed. Just this morning I started getting choppy feedback on Music Player Plus on my phone.

I've put in the Muffle System Logging patch on both now, hopefully that will clear things up. But neither system seemed to need it before...

    Sunspots?

Large volume of users accessing Palm Profile HP servers updating their Facebook Status to include "which Avenger is most like you" in their FB profiles?

These are my top two ideas on the slow downs.

my pre 2 used to get bogged down a bit every week or so.

installing and setting jstop to auto-clean fixed most of my problems

I think a triple-toggle restart may help, but I'm not sure - sometimes makes me lose data in some stuff. (like logins and such)

Install my patch "System Control Optimization"

I optimized the ram a bit.

I do have jStop installed, I'll give that a try.

    What is the triple-toggle restart?

I installed it yesterday, I'll see how it works out. Thanks.

a triple toggle restart is a slightly cleaner version of a battery pull.
it is one of the last of the 6T's
    (easily google-able)

it essentially instant kills/shutdowns webOS and then it restarts

the actual, official effects, I do not know
feel free to enlighten me anyone

A battery pull is a catastrophic power failure which can easily corrupt filesystems.

Power mute wiggle syncs the filesystem first.

I always forget about the toggle restart because it's so rare to need it.

Tried the patch suggested on my Pre 2, and music playback on both the official music player and Music(Remix) is still choppy.

Think I'll try reverting back to the stock kernel and see what that does.

You might want to try deleting your call history in the phone app, and your text messages. And don't leave browser cards open, they have so many memory leaks.

when my pre3 slows down, I check of with jstop and the memory usage is often 3x normal, indicating its time to restart the phone.

Ok, on my Touchpad it's probably WebAppMgr slowly taking over my system memory. My Pre 2 still baffles me, but I'll open a separate thread on that one. Thanks all.

Been watching mem usage on my TP because of this. What apps are you using most often on the TP? As in apps you tend to leave running.

Graphite is the main one I leave open for the most time.
