I'm trying to copy an iso to my usb partition and I'm getting a file size exceeded message. There is 8.6GB free on the partition and the file is 4.4GB. Is there anyway to get around this error?

What's it, a DVD image? If you don't need the file in its original format immediately, you can compress it down into parts, copy the parts over and then uncompress it at the destination. I think the single file size limit on transfers is 4GB.
