Long story short, my insurance replaced Pre is not a refurb, it came in a box with the cords and everything, no refurb sticker like before (ya, I have broke my share of phones) - BUT - nothing seemed to be working right as I fired it up and I find that it has webos 1.1.0 installed and using the UPDATE feature does NOTHING. It says my phone is up to date. Needless to say, I can't use any current apps or patches on it and I am ticked off.

Has anyone had this happen and if so, is there a fix? I have reset the phone, tried to let "update" find a new os version dozens of times, nothing is working. Between Sprint and Asurion, being on hold and trying to get them to do anything, I may slit my wrists.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Running the update now, thanks for your help. It's sad that they would ship a phone with an OS that old on it, whole world is going to hell

no they were made before the updates so they have the original OS still and i dont think they would open all boxes and update each phone before they send them off lol . but the fact that its not updating like it should is strange lol . umm what service provider are you using ?? to get a brand new pre is well unheard of these days lol
