This is what happened to the screen after i dropped my pre on the pavement.
I have insurance (TEP) for a phone replacement...is this something that is covered by the insurance for a replacement? If yes, would they still charge the deductible (fee) on it?

Its mostly cosmetic issue but it is annoying when i'm reading something on the screen.

I thought i would get some advice from you guys before it take it to the sprint (repair) store.

TEP covers everything, but yes, you'd have to pay the deductible.

We don't know if Sprint will be getting the Pre2 anytime soon, but there are some good hints that they might. I doubt that Sprint will give you a new Pre2 on a warranty exchange - they will probably give you a refurbished phone.

As an alternate you may consider repairing it yourself. See this thread:

Thanks you all for the suggestions. My contract doesn't end until June of next year but i guess i can live with some major scratches on my Pre.

When i singed up for TEP, i never realized that i would be able to buy a used pre on Ebay for about $100 (just little over a year after the release).

Doesnt TEP replacement cost $100 or is it $50?
