    While I wait patiently/blindly for the next release of webOS, here is a list of of apps/features that are lacking and may eventually decide if I jump ship.
    There really should be no excuse these are not available on a smartphone.

    Voice commands
    Mint.com app
    spreadsheet app

    + Multi-select to move/delete multiple email messages. I can't believe this is still missing. Aargh.

    + being able to focus the camera for close shots of objects and the ability to scan bar codes.

    EDIT: In all honesty, I don't care about a compass, but am tired of people using that against the pre, so I guess..

    + a hardware compass.

    The ability to take an .ics calendar event that someone emails to you and import it directly into your calendar.

    + access to the mic affording the opportunity for skype and other voip apps AND recording voice conversations.

    I would also like to see a Mint app if Mint would get better reports and good split transactions on the level of Quicken.
