I actually added an entry into my Autocorrect file for "il" to be "I'll" & removed the entry for ill altogether. it works great!!

along the same ways, i have "ure" be "you're" and "ur" be "your"

Or you can change regional settings to some other country and you'll be good.

actual system-level autocorrect would be nice. android has one that's almost there... but not quite.

Hmmm, I just tried it. I can view the file, but I can't make any changes to it. I suppose I could copy it to the /media portion & edit it. But, then how do you copy it back to /etc/palm where it needs to be? Or am I missing something more obvious?

well check that out!! Master mode is the answer. I don't think I ever even noticed that Internalz had a preferences menu.

This. It's the easiest and most efficient way without altering the phone's dictionary.

I have altered the phone's auto-correct dictionary a few times, it is way easier than backspace every time you run across something you type a lot that's auto corrected.

I backed up the file before making changes, in case I needed it.

What happens during a version upgrade?

Is the file overwritten successfully, or does the corrected file cause trouble?
