So I just installed the webOS Doctor for the homebrew stuff, and everything went as according to the installation guide up until this point. I was able to log into my palm profile and everything like that, but it says that I cannot restore my data for some reason. I have tried multiple times, but it doesn't work. It will not let me go into my main phone screen until I have backed up my data. I don't really care too much about this, since I just got my Pixi last week and I wouldn't be losing anything important. What can I do to fix this problem?

I was having the same issue. I contacted Palm and they're aware of the issue. Quote, "hang in there, we're working on it." I asked if it would be a few hours but they didn't want to give an exact time frame. So...sit tight I guess

The backed up data, sorry. I purposely did a data backup right before I installed webOS installer and webOS doctor, so I know the backed up data is in my palm profile.

The message says "We were unable to restore your data. Please wait a few minutes and try again. If you need help, please visit palm.com/support."

The only button on the screen says to "try again", which I have done numerous times now.

You were just installing the homebrew stuff as well, correct?

At least it's nice to know that I didn't eff up somewhere along the line.

We are working on this issue as we speak. This is a high priority issue and is getting the up most attention.

All data should be fine. Once we are able to resolve the issue. Users will be able to back up their devices and/or log into the palm profile without issue.

Can I safely disconnect the device from my computer, or will that screw things up?

I can't state it is fixed as I have not gotten an official word on that, however we are not receiving any more reports of the issue, so you may be able to log into your profiles.

HardBeatZ, if you're still monitoring this thread, I'm still having this problem. I just doctored my Pre (having not seen this thread first), and have been trying for the better part of an hour to restore my data with no success.
