    Youtube
    -Log into Account
    -Search and Browse*

    App Catalog
    -Hide Companys
-Better Ratings Filter (Apps with One 5 Star Rating Shouldn't Be 'Hot')

    Phone
    -Just Make it Faster

    Messenger*
    -Search
-Show Time & Date on ALL Conversatations
    -Sent Folders*
    -Save Messages

    Voice Dialing

    Software:
    ------------
Universal search of contact details, like notes etc.

    Live wallpaper.

    Home screen

More Bluetooth support. OBEX push/pull, Keyboard etc

    USB host mode

    Faster camera app launch

    Faster boot time.

Patches that I thing should be integrated:
    Theme support
    Add Move to Folder Button
    Audio/Video attachments
    Character Counter
    Delete from Notification
Hide Launch bar in Launcher Only
    SMS per contact

Palm Desktop app with true wireless sync including Music & playlists
Update existing files, delete photos and videos after sync etc.

    Slideshow photo app.

Java support for older JRE games/apps

    Hardware
    ------------
More RAM! SO sick of "too many cards", even with only one card open >
    Compass

    Better touchstone
    Contacts for USB link
Orientation sensor and "modes", like the Droid has for alarm clock, navigation etc.

A dock port to allow better accessories, like the iPhone. Maybe an iPhone > Palm adapter to make use of iPhone accessories.

    Dual cameras/Video chat.

25% better battery life or some sort of power conserving "dumb phone mode", so when I'm out all day I don't need a second battery.

    Landscape keyboard.

    ...

Just though of something unrelated... Imagined an OnLive client for a smartphone

option to remove launcher icon from quick launch (seriously, who still uses that?!)
    speed
    WiFi media sync

    - Widgets (if you don't like them or want them, then you don't have to install any)
    - WebGL, PDK, or native C code for OS instead of basic javascript
    - API for low level access to CPU/GPU/Mic/Camera for other apps
    - Basic Apps MUCH faster (Phone, Message, Calendar, Mail, Web, Maps, Camera)

In all the phone should feel much more responsive and any and all animations with the builtin apps should be be smooth and quick. Right now, it just seems like a half-baked OS with 10 second load time for some apps, and jerky animations for the core OS.

All those basic apps should load within a couple seconds at most. If they have to keep them loaded in the background, then so be it.

We are nearly a year and a half in, and they haven't realeased GPU access (PDK) except for a couple games. Installing a GPU was essentially worthless for this round of phones. Sad and pathetic.

While I use the phone for entertainment much of the time, this phone should be Ideal for the business world.

    - The calendar has got to integrate better with Exchange/Imail
    - True mobile Word processor. HP needs to use their prior relationship with Microsoft and urge them to make a true mobile version that is accessible with the purchase of new versions of the software for mac/PC.
    - BETTER quality hardware utilization
    - utilization of Open source community
    - Better LinkedIn app/contacts sync
    - HD output
    - I have so many things I want from the new webOS

I didn't say mic or camera api because we suppose to get that by the fall.

It would be nice to be able to customize the phone more.. Adding background to launcher and phone app. Change the color of the chat ballons. Or even adding and deleteing the universal search options.

    Lets make this simple.
    - all customization patches available in Preware should be standard user controlable settings on the phone. Preware should not be needed unless its a 'beta' patch/app.
    - all the SPEED & features of the iPhone & Android 2.2 phones

If I want to start the music player, it should be FASTER than a 3GS, not slower than a first gen iTouch, and even then, it shouldn't choke while playing music.

agreed since 90percent of the pictures you take at 12mp on youe phone look like 4mp due to the high iso noise. A same size, same technology sensor at 5 megapixel gets less than half the iso noise of a 12mp camera. Even if there is significant lighting, the shutter speed wouldgo higher, giving you a sharper image..

(iso noise is that thing that makes all yourindoor shots look "granier" than your outdoor ones.

I would love to see a turn by turn gps (other than vz navigator) for verizon. A good on screen keyboard for landscape mode would be nice too.

How about a home scrren that you can actually add and remove things from...Why do we have a homescreen thats basically good for nothing but putting a wallpaper on???

Lots and lots and lots of opened APIs - we're never gonna get the really cool apps until that happens.

Developers have already moved past WebOS... It's gonna take more then open API's to get them back.

All I want is speed and battery life, in that order. The gpu should be used to assist in terms of smoothness and such.
