Question - How do I sign out from Palm Profile on my Pre?

I can't seem to find that option

Go into device info and select reset options. Under there you will see erase apps and data.

    Thanks HardBeatz
So the only way to sign out from the device is to do Erase apps and data? What I want to do is swap my Palm pre for Palm Pixi. Do I even need to erase apps and data from pre in order to switch? Or can I just power off pre, swap ESN on sprint site, power on Pixi and sign in with my current profile? I never done it and want to make sure I do it right so that i don't screw up anything.

    Thanks

    Alex

What is the plans for the Pre? You can throw it into airplane mode and then not have to sign out of the device, then do an ESN swap and sign in to the Pixi with your profile.

oh perfect. plan for pre was to keep it to see if i like Pixi. if i like it, then I can wipe it and sell it. at which point i will do full erase. but until i decide that i like pixi, i want to keep it as is. so airplane mode is actually pretty good idea. thank u. does airplane mode stay put if i reboot pre?

Yes, airplane mode stays on until you remove it or restore your phone by a partial erase or webOS Doctor.

So doing a full erase sign out of the palm profile?
  9. #9
That is correct. The only way to truly sign out of your profile is by erasing the device.

Whether you are doing an erase apps and data, partial erase, full erase, or remote erase.

I have erased the data from my HP Pre3, and am in the process of trying to restore the data from my new HP Pre3. I keep getting an error message indicating that my new HP Pre3 cannot sign me in:
