    I am running webOS 1.4.1.1 on a Verizon Palm Pre Plus. I don't know if it is old news but today I first realized in the web browser that if you hold down shift and click on an area of text a gold ripple appears instead of a grey one. The text also gets selected. (see included image) Also you can slightly chose what text using the same method that works in editable text. Can anyone else confirm this because I had not heard of this new feature or maybe I'm just slow on news.

    You are right. My bad. It was asdded all the way back in 1.2.1.
    I wonder why several other places say selecting text is only available in editable text. They probably mean real selecting not by paragraphs.

    I can't do this. Would my patch guesture tap for new card screw that up?

    Make sure you're holding down the shift key (up arrow) and then tap the text.
