I often get files emailed that the Pre cannot open. (Like WMV or PPS files - tap on them, they appear to download, and then you get the message "Cannot find an app to open this file).

When this happens, is the file saved somewhere that you can find with Internalz? If so, where is the location?

I thought Documents to go was able to do that

It does stick around (I'm not convinced they get cleaned up, but hopefully the system actually works). I find the easiest way to find them is running a find command in the Terminal homebrew app, as they are buried under the /var/luna/data/attachments folder in one of the many buckets.

If you care to try, open Terminal and type "find / -name yourattachmentname" and press enter. I generally wildcard if I think it's unique. Put filenames with spaces in quotes.

Thanks for this. I really could have used this knowledge over the weekend though.
