    Hi everyone,

my wife gave me a really nice gift: a brand new HTC Desire.

I've used it for a week now, and I'm totally sold to it.

Now, the problem is: I'd like to migrate all my personal data from my Pre to the Desire.

I had no problem with contacts and calendar (thanks, Google!) but I have no clue on how to transfer the rest of my stuff, and if it's possible or not.

    I'm referring to:
    • old SMS
    • Memos
    • Tasks

Does anyone know of a procedure, an App or something that may do the trick?

    Thanks a lot!

Why don't you post this to Android Central forums. I bet they will be more than helpful.

Well, I still own a Pre, and part of the solution may be in some Palm App I'm not aware of, so I don't think it's inappropriate to post my question here.

As for the "treason" charge... I plead NOT guilty! take my wife instead!!

(seriously, if anyone has to be blamed... it is Palm and its market policies)

@ djdisturbed: thanks for the hint. I'll have a look at that.

As for the old SMS, forward them to your new phone as an SMS. For the Memos, email them to yourself and pick them up that way on the new phone. The Tasks are a different story unless you have an exchange server you can put them on.
    Hope that helps.
