I've been told by drnull that drPodder was not quitting cleanly when the card was thrown away (since WebOS 1.3.1) but for the first time, I'm seeing this behavior in another app. Evernote keeps throwing up online... offline... notifications long after I close it.

This makes me wonder what other apps are still open, hogging memory and CPU cycles.

Is there a need for a WebOS task manager? And if so, could something like that even be coded?

I'd just like to add that 1.3.1 has been a total disaster, and they need to roll back whatever they did to screw things up so badly when the next update is released...

There is a patch available that cleans up the mess left by these apps - you can get it here. This should solve your problem
