    Where is the webosquickinstall.jar file? I can't find it. I need the one the one that works best also, with no errors. I need PreWare.

    I downloaded WedOS anf WebDoc. Now I am getting the Error:No Device Detected. I tried a couple of the things it said. I restarted my computer and I tried File>Options>Attempt Novacom Installation. And Nothin.

    Without a step-by-step description of what you did, I can only made some suggestions. Did you verify that Novacom is running? Also, did you verify that your phone is in Dev Mode? When you plugged your phone into your USB port, did you hit Just Charge? These are the most common explanations for No Device Detected.

    Dont know how to check Novacom on Vista nor do I know how to check if my phone is in Dev mode. Yes I hit Just charge.

    I'm going to take a wild guess that you didn't put your phone in Dev Mode. Am I right? If I am, type upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart, open the app, and enable. If I'm wrong, do it anyway and verify that Dev Mode is enabled.

    Put it in Dev mode. Same ERROR message. How do I check novacom on Vista?

    Novacom is good. It's running. Dev mode set. Any other suggestions....

    Alright I got Pre Ware in my Pre now. Now when I start it it, I get the "Package Manager Service is not running. Did you remember........" What does this mean?

    It means Preware is looking for the Package Manager Service and not finding it. PMR must be installed before Preware. See http://forums.precentral.net/webos-i...0-preware.html or the Preware link in my previous post.
