    TY, but after reading

    Go to line 440 and make this change (on update_1.0.4).

    On Update 1.1.0 make the changes on lines 429, 444 & 467.

    Of course, instead of using "Verizon" you can use what ever string you would like.

    do i do 429 444 467 and 440?

    also when i do the final steps do i right click them anywhere?

    Lock your file system:

    mount -o remount ro /
    Restart LunaSysMgr:

    /sbin/initctl stop LunaSysMgr
    /sbin/initctl start LunaSysMgr

    or am i doing something wrong?

    Google for vi text editing...these are linux command codes...you have to type in the correct command in order to excute.
  5.    #6
    i understand that, im using putty and i see all 3439 lines of code, i see the 3 places i put them in. but after i change them where the heck do i type in

    mount -o remount ro /
    Restart LunaSysMgr:

    /sbin/initctl stop LunaSysMgr
    /sbin/initctl start LunaSysMgr

    cause all it does is add's lines of code not needed

    After you are done with your editing.
    Type :wq to get out of vi.
    then make it read only and reboot.

    to go to 429...type 429G ... once you are there... type i ... then right-hand click whatever that you want to paste... then you hit ESC.

    now do the same thing for line 444 and which ever line you need to change.

    once youre done with all the lines.... type :wq

    now you can make it read only and reboot.

    ok some one has to know how to help a noob

    other then copy and paste this on lines 429 444 467

    Go to line 440 and make this change (on update_1.0.4).

    On Update 1.1.0 make the changes on lines 429, 444 & 467.

    Of course, instead of using "Verizon" you can use what ever string you would like.

    //$('carrier').innerHTML = this.carrierText
    $('carrier').innerHTML = $L("Verizon");

    do i need to put a comand in front of this? use a editor? i am lost and about to pull my hair out
  13.    #14
    ok let me give it a try
  14. #15
    to delete a line....

    For example, if you want to delete line 430.

    type 430G then you type dd to delete.
  15. #16
    $('carrier').innerHTML = $L("Whatever you wish to go in here");

    This is the only line you need to replace.
  16.    #17
    ok, so far you have helped alot, a simple ESC works wonders.

    I still must have done something wrong after reboot i just had a complete white top screen where clock name battery bars ect ect, so i put a "bar-assistant" file back up in via winscp and trying again.
  17. #18
    good..you got the idea....keep on trying..you'll get it....i went thru the same thing as you are...eventually i got it. lol.
