I've been trying to sync a video to my Pre for a while now, and every time I plug it in, iTunes says it's found an iPod, but it's corrupted, and I may have to restore it.

I'm curious, what does restoring it in iTunes do? Does it reset the whole phone, or just the videos and music?

Btw, I've tried going into USB mode, and it just keeps ejecting itself and then pluggin itself back in (so the computer detects it again...it doesn't PHYSICALLY unplug itself haha) over and over.

    Help?

And therein lies the downside of the Pre masquerading as an iPod. My advice would be to *NOT* do a restore unless you want to potentially brick your Pre (or maybe turn it into an iPod Shuffle). I don't think it would actually harm the device, but why take the risk?

It might just delete all the files on your Pre (everything in /media/internal atleast).
