    I just got a replacement Pre today. I went to update it, and it says " checking for updates" for over 5 minutes. Is there something I can do to help it?

    Can you access other network based features on the phone? Can you surf the web?

    If you are using EVDO it is possible that your internet hasn't been provisioned properly. Try from a wireless network. If that works then you need to call sprint to get your internet provisioned properly.

    I seem to have provisioning issues every time I switch phones.
