sorry new to palm since my pilot in the early 90's. well i have a simple question that i cant find, is there a way to make a image of the pre os before i start to root it and possibly F it up.

If you 'f it up' you can use the webOS (or is it Palm?) doctor to restore your pre should things get messed up.

I just searched on "Backup" and got this:

Sync your Palm Pre (Backup Option).

No rooting is required. This just copies the files that can be seen on your Palms as a USB drive.

That is a great app and free from microsoft. It is perfect for backing up your Pre.
