Is there a way to delete an e-mail from only the phone while leaving it on the server so that it is still available to view on a home computer?

Yes go to Preferences for each E-mail you have on the Phone and there is an Option there to Delete from Server or Not.

Are you referring to the "Sync deleted emails" option?

I seem to be lacking this functionality... or at least I dont see this listed in the section thats being described. These are the fields I see when I am in an email and I use the drop down for the preferences and then click my email acct. (Which is a Gmail acct.)

Acct name: xxx

Full name: xxx

New message ( notifications, play sound, and vibrate)

Signature: xxx

Reply to address: xxx

Sync: (There are only 2 options here, show email and get email)

Then my default folders are listed:

What am I missing?

This is a gmail acct. I really want a way to save some emails but get rid of the emails I dont want on the phone while leaving them on the server...

Thank you for all of your help.

you probably have IMAP setup, change it to pop3 at google and on your phone. IMAP syncs what you do.

what about the option where it says how many days to SHOW EMAIL. I have set to 3 days but it is keeping more on the pre with my gmail accounts set to IMAP. Shouldn't it take off for past 3 days.
