An IRC client and XBMC remote app, nice. I hope he gets the SDK soon. Sounds like he's got quite a few good app ideas.

I really don't get twitter but whatever different strokes for different folks. Glad to see there is a lot of interest in developing an app for it.

I never really got Twitter for the average person at least. I can see sending updates from a live event like a trade show or something but for everyone else...I don't see the appeal of what is essentially a status update without the site.

edit: but an IRC client would be cool. I used to live on IRC back in the mid-late 90's.

I use to and still do, which is why this interests me a lot. I always have an IRC client running on my Treo 700wx.

Twitter lets me keep up with my friends in a simple way & it isnt Facebook, so thats a big plus in my book.

Sorry, but I dont need to know your top 5 pizza toppings or what dumb quiz you took today.

I know it has the built in search, but no confirmed app that I can recall.

Twitter is pretty basic though, so its not like you are going to have problems with it in the browser if the app isn't available at launch.

Yea, Twitter themselves may be writing a WebOS port. They were listed on the list of apps available near or at launch, plus recent emulator videos show Twitter as a universal search option.

The Pre is the perfect Twitter device. I mean, the keyboard, multitasking, everything. If they can pull it off (an app which allows GPS geotagging, auto upload of pics, e.t.c. just like pocketwit), they'll make me happy.

Weird that it's via Search. Strange. I'd be impressed if it was PreTweet or something.
