    Actually, the article says that the offer was rejected.

    Even if a deal is reached, I'm not so sure that there'd be any impact on Palm.

    the impact i think the OP was going for was that skype president said they will not make a skype app for webos as of now, and if they are helped by elevation and elevation is heavily invested into palm, it would be intersting to see sykpe new take on webos

    yes ... i was thinking the same. If Plam and Skype have the same minority owner, we should expect some coordination among the 2 companies.
