I'm trying to monitor all the bandwidth that freeTether dishes out to various friends who connect to my Veer. So I've downloaded a bandwidth monitoring script that generates html reports and got it working with Lighty. The only problem now is that in order to avoid excessive writes to my Veer's memory, I'd like to have Lighty's 'www' directory in a filesystem that resides only in RAM.

So I went and found the config file 'lighttpd.conf' and edited the value: 'server.document-root'. Made it point to a directory in /tmp. Lighty didn't think that was enough.

Question 1: How to make Lighty serve files from /tmp/www?
Question 2: Where to put the 'mkdir /tmp/www' before the startup scripts call the lighty-deamon.

Thanks for any help,
