Default HP Touchpad and avr or Pic connected to USB

Hello,

After being busy with a search this weekend, I had to ask it here.

Did some dev's play with USB and a connected MC like a Pic or AVR?

Any experience or links available, how to talk from webOS to a Device?

Thanks in advance

LA

One purpose, I would like it as home control.
Any suggestion or experience to share?

The Touchpad is not capable of fully using the USB port. It is limited to charging or acting as a USB drive for a computer only.

What Knucklehead said. The API for WebOS is disappointingly limited when it comes to interfacing with the hardware. Also, this is fundamental to the OS, and not something that homebrew will be able to fix (at least not without a major major effort).

Thank you both for your reply's.
Pity to hear that.

About the major effect, how major will that be?

For some adding a app is already major and for others writing drivers is just fun.
Is it possible to browse the lower file system and do installs at that level?
